Biography

Jonathan L. Wallen is an Assistant Professor in the Finance Unit at Harvard Business School, where he teaches Finance 1 to MBA students. His research focuses on financial intermediation and its interplay with asset pricing, currency markets, industrial organization, and banking regulation. Wallen investigates how various frictions in financial intermediation, including bank capital regulations, debt overhang, and imperfect competition, affect asset prices and risk premia. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from American University.
