Biography

Jonathan Yeung Laiwah is a neurologist specializing in sleep medicine and general neurology. He completed his medical diploma at the University of Alberta and underwent his neurology residency training at Western University in London, Ontario. Following his residency, he pursued a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Children's Hospital, which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School. In 2021, Dr. Yeung was awarded the Wayne Hening Young Investigator Award for his research on restless legs syndrome. His primary clinical interests lie in restless legs syndrome and hypersomnia disorders, where he applies his expertise at the Rockyview General Hospital and Foothills Medical Center, both of which are part of the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary.
