Dr. Joop Koppenjan

Biography

Joop Koppenjan is a Professor of Public Administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research interests encompass several critical areas such as agenda building, decision making, policy implementation, democratic governance, policy networks, institutional design, and privatization including public-private partnerships. He is involved in safeguarding public values and enhancing public service delivery through effective project management. In addition, he studies risks and uncertainties that affect collaborative innovation and learning processes, as well as the use of knowledge in evidence-based policy-making. As a notable academic, Koppenjan has contributed significantly to the fields of public administration and governance through his empirical work and extensive publication record.
