Biography

JooYoung Seo is an assistant professor at the School of Information Sciences and a faculty affiliate in various departments at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on accessible computing, universal design, inclusive data science, and equitable healthcare technologies. Seo is a double-certified data science instructor and is considered an expert in making computational literacy accessible to individuals with disabilities through multimodal data representation. Seo earned his PhD and M.Ed in Learning, Design, and Technology from Pennsylvania State University, along with a double BA in education and English literature from Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea.
