Professor Jörg Haustein joined the Faculty of Divinity in 2019, where he teaches about religions in Africa. Prior to this, he taught at the School of Oriental and African Studies from 2013 to 2019 and at the University of Heidelberg from 2003 to 2013. He earned his PhD from the University of Heidelberg in the study of Ethiopian Pentecostalism in 2009 and completed his habilitation with a study on German colonialism and Islam in East Africa in 2020.
