Jörg Raisch studied Engineering Cybernetics at Stuttgart University, Germany, and Control Systems at UMIST, Manchester, UK. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stuttgart University and spent years as a postdoctoral researcher in the Systems Control Group at the University of Toronto, Canada. From September 2000 to February 2006, he held the chair in Systems Theory Engineering at the Electrical Engineering Department of Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg. Since March 2006, he has held the chair in Control Systems at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Technische Universität Berlin. Jörg has had various editorial board duties and has contributed significantly to several journals in the fields of electrical engineering and control systems, as well as being involved with the International Federation of Automatic Control.
