Biography

Jorge Delva is a nationally recognized expert in substance use disorders and ethnic health inequities. His research seeks to understand the cultural variations in the etiology of substance use and mental health disorders on a global scale. With over 160 publications to his name, Delva aims to use his extensive knowledge to inform interventions and policies that help ameliorate serious health problems, particularly in disenfranchised communities. Delva is a fellow of the Society for Social Work and Research and the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare.
