Biography

Jorge Fernández Pendás is a researcher working on modeling optimal control of superconducting qubits, with broad interests that include aspects of theoretical physics, particularly with an emphasis on the computational side. His work has dealt with topics such as quantum anomalies and quantum transport phenomena in topological matter. Jorge started his postdoctoral research at Chalmers in December 2019, shortly after receiving his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is a member of the Applied Quantum Physics Laboratory within the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, and he is part of the Quantum Computing Theory division at the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology.
