Jorge E. Galán earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the National University of La Plata in Argentina and his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Cornell University. He has authored over 200 publications in the field and is actively involved in addressing infectious diseases, with an emphasis on understanding pathogen-host interactions to develop novel therapeutic strategies.
