Biography

Jorge Prozzi is the Satish Family Endowed Engineering Professor in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently a member of the National Academies of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, and Medicine Oversight Committee for the Federal Highway Administration Bridge Pavement Research Program. He previously served as the chair of the TRB International Activities Committee and the Data Analysis Working Group of the TRB Subcommittee on Latin American Activities. As an expert panel member, he contributes to projects funded by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program and is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Additionally, Prozzi serves as an associate editor for ASCE’s Journal of Infrastructure Systems and the WCTRS’s Journal of Case Studies on Transport Policy, and is a current member of the editorial board for Springer’s Journal “Frontiers in Structural Civil Engineering.” He has authored or co-authored 75 refereed archival journal publications, 136 refereed conference proceedings, and 133 technical reports.
