Jorge Sanchez Perez is an assistant professor at the University of Alberta's Department of Philosophy. He specializes in social epistemology, Indigenous philosophy, and legal and political philosophy. Originally from Peru, he completed his LLB at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and earned his master's degree in philosophy at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. His current research involves the interaction between Latin American philosophy and Indigenous perspectives, particularly the philosophical insights found in the late 16th-century Huarochirí Manuscript. He has received several research awards, including the McMaster University’s International Student Excellence Award and the Support Advancement Scholarship Research Fund from the University of Alberta.
