Dr. Jørgen Hansen

Biography

Jørgen Drud Hansen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business and Economics at the University of Southern Denmark. He has extensive academic experience, having served as a Senior Research Associate and Visiting Lecturer at various institutions, including Aarhus School of Business and Aalborg University. He specializes in International Economics and European Integration, teaching undergraduate courses in micro and macroeconomics. Hansen has held several editorial and leadership positions, including Chief Editor of the 'Baltic Journal of Economics'. He has contributed significantly to literature on global economics since 1970, producing numerous journal articles, book chapters, and edited volumes. His notable research areas include the impacts of globalization, economic integration within the EU, and various economic policies related to Europe. Over the years, he has been involved in significant projects aimed at enhancing the understanding of economic dynamics in both a national and international context. His educational journey began with an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen in 1970. Hansen's dedication to education was exemplified in his role in PhD supervision and his engagement in international academic collaborations.
