Jörgen Johansson is a Professor of Molecular Microbiology at Umeå University, where he specializes in studying the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. His research focuses on understanding how this pathogen causes disease, particularly at the molecular level. Johansson's work aims to describe the mechanisms that make Listeria pathogenic, especially through the study of RNA molecules and their responses to environmental stressors.
