Biography

Jörgen Olsson received his Ph.D. degree in electronics from Uppsala University, Sweden, in 1996. In 1997, he served as a visiting scientist at Digital Semiconductor in Hudson, MA, USA, where he worked on modeling ion implantation CMOS process integration. In 2008, he was promoted to Professor of Solid-State Electronics at Uppsala University, where he is the head of the Solid State Device Group at the Ångström Laboratory. His research interests encompass high-frequency MOS-based devices, processes, SOI-technology, and RF-power devices, with recent work focused on thin-film solar cells. He is the director of postgraduate studies and deputy head of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, actively contributing to several faculty committees related to education and research.
