Dr. Jori Berger Greenstein

Biography

Jori Berger-Greenstein is a Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. She specializes in Behavioral Medicine, focusing on the application of mental health principles to medical conditions and prevention. With over 25 years of experience, she provides clinical care across various community hospital settings, including Boston Medical Center (BMC). Her current clinical interests involve working with patients who have been exposed to traumatic events, assisting them in adapting to medical diagnoses in order to improve their health outcomes. Additionally, she is a member of the BMC Ethics Committee and serves on the Ethics Consult Team. She completed a fellowship in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School, becoming a Certified Healthcare Ethicist (HEC-C). As the Behavioral Science Faculty Director for the Residency Program in the Department of Family Medicine, she plays a crucial role in mentoring students in the Graduate Medical Sciences program at Boston University. Berger-Greenstein received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bradley University and both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Bowling Green State University.
