Biography

Professor José E. Andrade holds the George W. Housner Professorship at the California Institute of Technology, where he has been a faculty member since 2010. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2001, followed by a Master of Science from Stanford University in 2003, and a PhD in 2006. His research specializes in granular materials and geomechanics, with particular emphasis on carbon sequestration and multiscale modeling.
