Biography

Josef Zweimüller is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich. His research interests include Growth and Inequality, the effects of welfare state programs, and Labor Market studies. He has been actively engaged in various research networks since the mid-1990s, holding the position of Research Fellow at CEPR London, and IZA Bonn, as well as being a member of significant committees within the Verein für Socialpolitik. In 2015, he served as Programme Director for the CEPR Program Area in Labour Economics. His educational background includes a Master's degree and PhD in Economics from the University of Linz, along with postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, and a visiting scholar position at Stanford University. He achieved his Habilitation in Economics in 1995 from the University of Linz.
