Dr. Josefine Lee Stage

Biography

Josefine Lee Stage is an academic affiliated with Aarhus University, specializing in educational history and welfare studies. She has a Cand.mag.pæd from the University of Copenhagen and has been engaged in various research projects since 2021. Notably, she served as a scientific assistant in pedagogy at the University of Copenhagen from August 2021 to August 2023. Her research involves ethnographic fieldwork, focusing on the history of schools and colonial narratives, specifically in Kalaallit Nunaat. Josefine has undertaken multiple projects, including a significant research activity titled 'Historier om skolen og skolens historie', aimed at exploring the educational history in the region from a colonial perspective. Also, she is involved in various presentations and lectures, contributing to academic discussions on colonial schools in Kalaallit Nunaat. Josefine's work is characterized by a collaborative approach, reflecting on the impacts of colonialism in education systems.
