Biography

Joseph Ali, JD is an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He studies how global public health research practices can respect ethical values in an increasingly interconnected digital world. Dr. Ali’s commitments extend to supporting scholars in resource-constrained settings, enhancing bioethics research and education. He co-leads the Wellcome-funded Global Infectious Disease Ethics Collaborative which provides training at the intersection of ethics and infectious diseases. Ali has received multiple awards for his teaching and contributions to public health ethics, including the Excellence in Teaching award from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
