Biography

Joseph Bergman is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta, with a cross-appointment in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. His research interests focus on Biomechanics, Orthopaedics, and Upper Extremity conditions. He teaches courses like BME 900, which involves a directed capstone project allowing students to engage in experimental and analytical techniques related to biomedical engineering. Joseph is actively involved in guiding students through the development of project proposals and supervises their work to ensure comprehensive understanding and execution of their studies. He emphasizes the importance of a final written report and oral presentation, encouraging effective communication and presentation skills among his students.
