Dr. Joseph Bosco

Biography

Joseph Bosco III is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health, where he also serves as the Chief of Musculoskeletal Strategic Areas and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He has over 30 years of experience in sports orthopedic surgery, specializing in knee and shoulder surgeries, particularly sports-related injuries and total knee replacements. He pioneered certain orthopedic procedures at NYU Langone, including advancements in non-narcotic pain relief techniques for knee surgeries. Dr. Bosco is a recognized expert, having been honored as a New York Magazine Top Doctor for over a decade, and is committed to patient care through both surgical and nonsurgical methods. His research focuses on improving treatment outcomes and patient safety, specifically regarding infection control in orthopedic procedures. Dr. Bosco holds board certifications from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has completed extensive training at respected institutions, including a fellowship at the University of Arizona and residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. He is fluent in English and Italian, and he enjoys connecting with a diverse range of patients in New York City.
