Biography

Joseph Gonzalez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a founding member of the RISE Lab at UC Berkeley, focusing on the intersection of machine learning and data systems. His academic path includes postdoctoral work at Berkeley’s AMPLab and contributions to significant projects such as GraphX, which is now integrated into Apache Spark.
