Dr. Joseph Itaya

Biography

Joseph Itaya is an award-winning film director, digital content creator, technology innovator, educator, and entrepreneur, who specializes in fusion storytelling and business, synthesizing brand identity and strategy with compelling multi-media content. With over 20 years of experience, Joseph has produced and directed multi-tiered digital campaigns for global brands including Sony, CBS, NBCUniversal, Fox, Walmart, Mattel, and Coca-Cola. In 2007, he founded Legacy Films, which produces documentary films for notable clients in fields such as politics, real estate, finance, sports, and entrepreneurship. Legacy Films also has a charitable arm that has helped raise millions of dollars for organizations including the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Annenberg Foundation, and UNHCR. An award-winning feature filmmaker, his films have been distributed theatrically and broadcast to audiences worldwide. Joseph is also a pioneer in the live-action 360VR industry, founding EVRLAND to bring travel, wellness, and education VR experiences to sick and disadvantaged children. He has filmed VR experiences globally, working with children's hospitals and educational partners across the country. Joseph is an avid musician, holding a BA in composition and piano from the University of Washington and an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California.
