Biography

Joseph Izzi, Jr., M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and a Clinician Educator at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He specializes in the treatment of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions related to the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Dr. Izzi graduated from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Brown/Rhode Island Hospital. He furthered his training with a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at Brown and a Hand Microvascular Surgery fellowship at Cornell University/Hospital for Special Surgery. Since starting his practice in Rhode Island in 2003, Dr. Izzi has also practiced concurrently at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and has served as an assistant professor of orthopedics at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand.
