Joseph McClernon is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University and the founder/director of the Center for Addiction Science and Technology (CfAST). Dr. McClernon has conducted groundbreaking research on drug-associated environments and the influence of tobacco use disparities among individuals with psychiatric comorbidities. He has a strong commitment to mentoring early-career professionals and has been continuously funded by NIH and FDA since 2002, with over 170 peer-reviewed publications to his name. Recently, he was recognized with a Career Mentoring Award from the Duke University School of Medicine for his excellence in mentorship.
