Dr. Josephine D Abbondanza

Biography

Josephine D'Abbondanza is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University, specializing in plastic surgery. She completed her medical training in Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto, where she also earned her Master of Science degree at the Institute of Medical Science. Her educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto, followed by a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery and additional training in breast reconstruction. Dr. D'Abbondanza is affiliated with St. Joseph's Healthcare and has further certifications such as the Sany’as Indigenous Cultural Safety Training from the Provincial Health Services Authority. She is dedicated to advancing surgical practices and improving patient outcomes in the field of reconstructive surgery.
