Biography

Josephine Lomangino-Cheung is an Associate Professor in Clinical Restorative Dentistry at Penn Dental Medicine, where she also serves as the Director of the Operative Dentistry Division. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from Creighton University in 1983 and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) at NYU College of Dentistry in 1988. In her administrative role at Penn Dental Medicine, she oversees instruction in preclinical and clinical operative dentistry. Dr. Lomangino-Cheung has held various leadership positions, including director of multiple dental courses and simulation labs at both Penn and NYU, and has been a key figure in advancing dental education and standards nationally.
