Biography

Josh Hodge is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Quantitative Life Sciences at Imperial College London's Department of Life Sciences. With a focus on educational research and equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, he chairs the Department of Life Sciences Equality, Diversity Inclusion Committee (EDIc). His work involves evaluating and developing EDI policies, running projects aimed at widening participation among underrepresented student groups, and fostering discussions around unconscious bias and stereotype threat. He is proud to lead efforts towards achieving a Silver Athena Swan Award for his department. Additionally, Hodge is an active member of several college committees and has played key roles in UCAS Triage and AdvanceHE Fellowships assessment. He has previously held a teaching fellow position at Imperial College London from June 2018 to June 2022. Hodge holds multiple degrees from the University of Warwick and Imperial College London, including a PhD in Plant Environmental Science and a Master's in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
