Biography

Joshua P. Babu, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He serves as the Medical Site Lead for Meriter Adult Behavioral Health Services. Dr. Babu is passionate about building connections and helping others, which has driven his journey in the medical field. He has a keen interest in psychiatry, a multidisciplinary field that incorporates biological sciences, psychology, philosophy, and sociology to create multifactorial treatment approaches for healing. Outside of his academic work, Dr. Babu enjoys traveling, wildlife photography, reading, hiking, playing video games, and basketball, as well as spending quality time with his family and pets. He is fluent in Malayalam and is dedicated to giving back to society in a meaningful way.
