Biography

Joshua Chang is an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director of Neurology Residency Education at Dell Medical School. He completed his Ph.D. in Quantitative Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts and holds an M.D. from the same institution. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he focused on signal processing and artificial intelligence. His master’s dissertation, conducted at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, involved missile tracking using radar modalities. Before pursuing his M.D./Ph.D., Joshua worked as a software engineer at the Broad Institute associated with Harvard’s School of Public Health and Center for Health Decision Science. Currently, he conducts research at Dell Medical School, investigating the application of artificial intelligence to enhance population health, healthcare diagnostics, therapeutics, and predictive analytics.
