Biography

Joshua Higgason is a Professor of Practice at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in design for theater, opera, and concerts. He works as a video, lighting, scenic, and interactive designer, contributing to various live performances. Higgason's notable recent projects include creating projections for "Hansel und Gretel" at Teatro Alla Scala, providing scenic designs for "King Arthur" at Statsoper Berlin, and working on "Die Dreigroschenoper" at Salzburger Festspiele. His expertise also encompasses collaborations on video and scenic design for Nico Muhly's "Control (Five Landscapes Orchestra)" with Utah Symphony, as well as projections for Ira Glass's "Seven Things I've Learned Tour."
