Dr. Joshua Klein

Biography

Joshua R. Klein is the Edmund J. Louise W. Kahn Term Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania. He has a strong research focus on Neutrino Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Particle Physics. Klein completed his Ph.D. in Physics at Princeton University in 1994, where he explored the nature of dibaryons in his thesis titled 'A Strange Matter: Searching H Dibaryon'. His academic journey includes a Master of Arts from Princeton in 1990 and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University, graduating magna cum laude in 1988 with distinction. Klein has held various committee roles within the University of Pennsylvania, including chairing the School of Arts and Sciences Curriculum Committee and the Department of Physics and Astronomy Colloquium Committee. He has also contributed to faculty governance through his participation in the Faculty Senate Executive Committee and has been involved in organizing significant academic events such as the 'Crossroads Particle Physics' symposium. His dedication to both education and research has established him as a key figure in his field.
