Biography

Joshua D. Lee is an Associate Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Architecture, where he serves as the Track Chair for the Architecture–Engineering–Construction Management programs. His research interests include sustainable design, adaptable architecture, open building, systems-based architecture, circular construction, public interest design, post-occupancy evaluation, and educational facilities. Joshua completed his PhD in Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on the School Construction Systems Development project. His educational background includes a Master of Architecture, a Master of Sustainable Design, and a Bachelor in Marketing. Joshua has experience with various architecture firms and has been involved in numerous projects throughout his career. He has published significant works, including books and peer-reviewed journal articles on topics related to architecture and design, contributing to conferences and workshops that focus on the future of sustainable architecture and its societal impacts.
