Biography

Joshua Peeples is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, which he obtained in 2022. Additionally, he earned his M.S. degree in the same field from the University of Florida in 2019 and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017. His research interests are mainly focused on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Texture Analysis, Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision, and Image Processing. Throughout his academic career, he has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including being a Faculty Fellow in the Accountability, Climate, Equity, and Scholarship (ACES) program, receiving the Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation, and being inducted into the Edward Alexandar Bouchet Graduate Honor Society as part of the Florida Education Fund. Joshua’s extensive knowledge and expertise in these areas contribute significantly to his teaching and research efforts, enhancing the learning experience for his students.
