Biography

Joshua Richards is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery with a specialization in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Richards has focused on the specialized treatment of ligamentous, joint, tendon, nerve, and bone injuries to the hand, elbow, wrist, and shoulder. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program and further specialized in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery through a fellowship at Cornell University’s Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Richards joined Stanford in 2023 and has been involved in various volunteer roles both locally and globally.
