Biography

Joshua Schwartz is an Assistant Professor at the Carnegie Mellon Institute of Strategy & Technology (CMIST). His research focuses on questions related to the effectiveness of military force and technology, public policymaker support for the use of force, and the spread of military technology globally. Schwartz has written extensively on topics such as the global proliferation of armed drones, counter-terrorism effectiveness, and the role of gender stereotypes in international politics.
