Biography

Joshua Thomas is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at UT Austin. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree as well as an Accelerated Entry Master's in Nursing with a leadership focus. With a strong background from UT Austin, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis on Neurobiology in 2013, Joshua has developed expertise in adult health nursing. He is a dedicated faculty member of the Adult Health Division, primarily responsible for teaching Adult Health Nursing II Practicum, Theory, and Clinical Nursing Skills II courses. Joshua actively contributes to the Evidence-Based Practice Committee at St. David's Medical Center, which was re-formed in 2019, focusing on improving patient care through research and best practices in nursing. He currently practices in the Neurosciences Unit at the Medical Center in Austin, Texas, where he applies his knowledge to treat patients with acutely complex health issues.
