Biography

Jouha Min is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on developing and implementing generalizable methodologies to investigate complex material-biology interactions in three-dimensional space and time. His work integrates biomaterials design, biointerfaces, and bioanalytical sensing, aiming to establish a foundational framework for understanding and modulating biological responses in diverse biomedical contexts. His research addresses critical challenges in areas such as cancer, sepsis, traumatic brain injury, tissue repair, infection, and immune engineering. He completed his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering in 2016 and has held a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he explored systems biology methodologies.
