Jovan Osborne serves as the Program Coordinator for the EXCEL Lab at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance. He is an arts educator and administrator who is deeply committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and artistic expression. Jovan has also worked as the Project Manager and Legislative Coordinator for the Florida Music Educators Association, where he organized legislative meetings advocating for arts and cultural funding. In 2023, he was selected to participate in a cohort of summer interns at the Metropolitan Opera, where he contributed to the DEI Department to create educational resources aimed at fostering inclusive work environments. As a performer, Jovan is a classical saxophonist, conductor, and operatic baritone. He holds a B.A. in Music with a minor in Education and Psychology, and an M.A. in Arts Administration from Florida State University.
