I am a linguist fieldworker. My research investigates cross-linguistic articulation syntax semantics, especially extended verb phrases, including phenomena like TAM (tense-aspect-modal) markers and applicative constructions. I primarily draw empirical insights from Javanese, a Malayo-Polynesian language of the Austronesian family spoken by 70 million people in Indonesia. Since 2010, I have been conducting fieldwork in Indonesia, focusing on the varieties spoken in Yogyakarta, Semarang (Central Java), and Paciran (East Java).
