Biography

Jrène Rahm obtained her PhD in Psychopedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998. She then taught at the University of Northern Colorado before joining the University of Montreal in 2002 as a full professor in Psychopedagogy. Her research focuses on the science learning and identity evolution of youth from diverse ethnic backgrounds in informal environments such as museums and extracurricular community programs. Her methodology combines multisite ethnography and discourse analysis, drawing on a socio-historical-cultural approach. She is an associate editor of the Journal of Research in Science Teaching and the author of 'Science Making Margin' published by Sense Publishers.
