Biography

Juan Galdo holds a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2003). His research interests include contemporary Latin American literature and literary theory. He is the author of 'Alegoría y nación en la novela peruana del siglo XX' (Lima: Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, 2008) and has contributed to the 'Encyclopedia of Latin American History and Culture, 2nd Edition' (New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 2008). His publications include articles in 'Revista Iberoamericana', 'Revista de Crítica Literaria Latinoamericana', 'Chasqui', 'Colorado Review', 'Hispanic Studies', 'Romance Review', and 'Lexis'. Additionally, his novel 'Estación Cuzco' was published in 2008 by PEISA. Dr. Galdo regularly teaches courses in advanced composition, Hispanic literature and culture, and literary theory.
