Biography

Juan Grigera is a Senior Lecturer at King's College London in the Department of International Development. He completed his PhD at the University of Buenos Aires with support from CONICET (Argentina) and earned an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. As an academic, he is affiliated with the King's Brazil Institute and is actively involved in research surrounding issues of International Development, including the effects of Artificial Intelligence, deindustrialization, and social conflict. He teaches undergraduate courses such as Global Economy and Development Theory, as well as postgraduate courses on Global Labour Development. His research primarily investigates the social and economic impact of Artificial Intelligence and structural transformations in Latin American economic development. Grigera is committed to fostering inclusive and sustainable growth through a multidisciplinary research group focused on the critical study of global capitalism and its structural hierarchies.
