Biography

Juan Antonio Islas Muñoz is a graduate with a professional bachelor's degree in industrial design from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi in Mexico, obtained in 2007. He earned his master's degree in design from the University of Cincinnati in 2013, where he served as an adjunct practice professor. He distinguished himself as the head of the 'Transportation Design' program and co-founder of the Future Mobility Center, a research hub for which he established numerous partnerships with industry. His professional experience includes working in industrial design and transportation at Rigoletti Casa de Diseño from 2007 to 2011, contributing as a director or designer to product, packaging, and toy design projects. He received a Fulbright scholarship in 2011 to further his studies at the University of Cincinnati. His research revolves around design and innovation of vehicles, focusing on the relationship between people and their urban environment. He also leads strategic foresight projects aimed at exploring future scenarios in mobility.
