Biography

Judith Tsui, MD MPH is a professor of Medicine at the University of Washington (UW) in the Division of General Internal Medicine based at Harborview Medical Center, and an adjunct professor in the UW Department of Health Systems and Population Health. She completed her MD at NYU School of Medicine in 1997, her MPH at Emory University in 2004, and a BA in Anthropology at Princeton University in 1991. Dr. Tsui's academic journey includes a residency at Oregon Health Sciences University and a General Internal Medicine fellowship/post-doctorate at UCSF. Before joining the University of Washington in 2014, she was a K23-funded faculty member at Boston University and Boston Medical Center. Her research primarily focuses on NIH-funded clinical health services with an aim to improve care outcomes for individuals who use drugs, particularly through innovative medication management and care delivery models to treat and prevent substance use disorders along with related co-morbidities such as hepatitis C and HIV.
