Biography

Judy Tint has over 30 years of experience as an attorney, consultant, and producer in the entertainment industry. A graduate of Rutgers College and Columbia Law School, she represents a variety of recording artists, songwriters, producers, managers, and independent labels. Since joining NYU’s Music Business faculty in 2008, Judy has been an active member of the academic community, serving as the Immediate Past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries. She has lectured extensively on entertainment topics at various prominent organizations and universities. Judy has a strong history of advocating for artists’ rights and has been involved in numerous philanthropic efforts, including serving on the Board of Governors of the Recording Academy’s New York Chapter and the Board of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation. Her initiatives include the creation of the Performance Grants Program to support veteran artists and her tenure at the United Nations for UNICEF. Additionally, Judy is a musician herself, having performed with notable artists and contributing to live entertainment projects in New York City. Her dedication to the music business and community impact is evident throughout her distinguished career.
