Biography

Jue (Grace) Xie is a Research Fellow in the Action Lab at Monash University, specializing in human-computer interaction. With over 15 years of applied research experience, she has a solid background in software architectures, web information systems, consumer health informatics, and information quality knowledge engineering. After receiving her PhD from Monash’s Faculty of IT in 2012, she has contributed significantly to interdisciplinary research projects, including significant roles at the Monash Centre for Distributed Systems Software Engineering and Microsoft Research Asia. Dr. Xie coordinates a dual Master’s program in collaboration with Southeast University in China. Her research focuses on utilizing AI innovations to enhance public healthcare services. Notably, she developed 'AskPCOS', a mobile application designed to help women manage Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, which has reached thousands of users across 90 countries. Dr. Xie is dedicated to exploring the intersection of digital technology and coordinated community action, driving her current research in the Action Lab.
