Biography

Julia Bartolomeo, MD is an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at Boston University's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Originally from western Massachusetts, she completed her undergraduate education at Tufts University before attending Boston University School of Medicine for her medical degree. Prior to medical school, Dr. Bartolomeo worked as a children's counselor for the Great Books Summer Program and taught LEGO robotics in elementary schools with the Tufts Center for Engineering Education Outreach. At BU, she has been actively involved in community work, mentoring ninth graders in the Rookie Runners program and participating in the PAIRS (Partnering Alzheimer’s Instruction Research Study) program. She has been a leader in the Family Medicine Interest Group and served as a peer advisor for first-year medical students, teaching patient interviews in the Intro to Medicine course. Dr. Bartolomeo is passionate about continuity of patient care, the training of quality primary care physicians, and providing care for patients of all ages.
