Biography

Julia Grignon is a professor at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval, specializing in international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and international refugee law. She serves as co-director of the International Criminal and Humanitarian Law Clinic (ICCHR) and is a co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Africa and the Middle East (CIRAM). Her work includes directing the 'Osons le DIH' initiative, which focuses on promoting and strengthening international humanitarian law. Additionally, she is affiliated with the Canadian Partnership for International Justice and participates in the scientific advisory council of the Institut de Recherche Stratégique de l’École militaire in France, as well as the Québec Society for International Law.
