Dr. Julia Grimm

Biography

Julia Grimm is an Associate Senior Lecturer at Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University, researching organizations and how collective actors respond to social and environmental sustainability challenges. She employs qualitative, process-oriented methods to examine collaboration, governance, and contestation within global supply chains and multi-stakeholder initiatives, as well as the role of social movements in these contexts. Her research has been published in leading international journals and contributes to both academic discussions and practical applications. In her teaching, Grimm focuses on corporate responsibility, preparing students to engage critically with contemporary societal challenges. She serves as Course Director for Corporate Responsibility, and is involved in supervising Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD theses. Her work seeks to understand how collective efforts can enable meaningful change amidst complex power dynamics and legitimacy issues in regulation over time.
